What is Content Cloud?

Sitecore Composable DXP Clouds

Last time we've written about the Sitecore Clouds. This time we'll take a closer look at the products within the Content Cloud (purple blocks). Let's first start with naming the products for each purple block.

Agile CMS -> Content Hub ONE

Content Operations -> Content Hub CMP, MRM, DAM

Digital Asset Management -> Content Hub DAM and PCM

So we now have basically four products: Search, XM Cloud, Content Hub ONE and Content Hub. The product that really differs from the rest is Search. It's used in conjunction with content but has nothing to do with managing content. Therefore we aren't going to use this product in a feature comparison.

If we look closely at the other three products left, we can see that they focus on managing content. This leaves us with the most important topic yet, how do they differ from each other?

The quickest and easiest way is always a picture. In the picture below I've plotted the three products in comparison to each other.

If you look closely at the picture, you see that we've put Simplicity and Extensibility on the axis. Where Simplicity stands for simplicity in maintenance, user friendly, etc and on the other hand we have Extensibility. With this we mean things like, adding new features to the platform, extending functionality, etc.
